This sees me planning every week & leading a group of 25 youths.

What I do:

- Mentoring to youths-at-risk

Beyond Social Services

I volunteered at BSS on 25th March 2019 to spend a day conducting fringe activities for less privileged children in Singapore

The activities carried out here at Redhill was to keep these children occupied so that they do not fall into bad company.

I helped in conducting a programme that involved fun icebreakers like "dog and bone" to fun arts and crafts with the children painting their own tote bag.

Spending a day with these kids was amazing. Keeping up with their energy was a struggle. But when I got to talk to a few of them and hear their pains in school such as bullying it just broke my heart. One of the boys held on to me as a protector and that made me realise how many of these children do not have that strong figure in their lives. Someone that they know has strength they can lean on.

5D4N Humanitarian Trip 2016 to Chiangmai

During 29th Nov to 3rd Dec, 15 year old students were sent on a mission to conduct a programme for the students of Pai Lung Lung School's rural village.

Pivotal is the word I would use to describe this trip. This experience made me realised how blessed I can be when I am a blessing.

The 5 days spent here was a roller coaster of emotions as I got to see energetic lively children that have hopes and dreams of getting out of poverty.

And yet the villagers were so warm and welcoming. Sharing with us their lives and the simple contentment that they have.

This experience was simply nothing short of amazing and it helped fuel the altruistic nature that I possess today.

What I did:

- Planned a carnival for the children

- Farmed vegetables for the school

- Taught classes to the children through interactive skits

What I learned:

- To appreciate what I have and give to those less fortunate

- Overseas programme planning

- Cultural appropriation
